ACTJRU Executive
The ACT Junior Rugby Union (ACTJRU) is the governing body for all junior club and school rugby union in the ACT and Southern NSW. The ACTJRU is a sub committee of the ACT & S/NSW Rugby Union.
The ACT Junior Rugby Union (ACTJRU), is responsible for organising regular competition Rugby matches for players aged from Under 6 to Under 18 and strives to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the development and promotion of Junior Rugby as well as affording Players an opportunity to value the game, develop their skills and achieve representative honours. The ACTJRU and Brumbies Rugby are committed to promoting and strengthening a positive image of Rugby and its participants in Canberra and its surrounds.
The ACTJRU Committee comprises of the eight (8) Executive committee members and ex-officio members of the Clubs and schools represented by the ACTJRU.
The Executive Committee is the ultimate decision-maker covering the governance matters delegated to it by the Council. This includes the affairs of both the Junior Rugby competition and the Representative teams and all other operations. Its primary governance role is to set and oversee the achievement of the ACTJRU’s strategic objectives within a framework of its ethical culture. The Board will conform to the governance standards set by the ACTJRU on behalf of Council and Rugby Australia.
The Executive of the Australian Capital Territory Junior Rugby Union (Incorporated) shall consist of the following:
President, Senior Vice-President, Vice President (2), Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Assistant Secretary and the Honorary Publicity Officer.
