The stage is set for the 2026 ACT Junior Rugby Union Grand Finals, with 19 premiership deciders to be played at Viking Park on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. The confirmed draw features 38 team places across nine age groups, from U10 through to U18, with 12 different club, school and combined-program identities represented. Saturday will feature nine grand finals across the U13 to U17 competitions, including the Viki Fisher Cup, Stephen Larkham Cup and Louise Burrows Cup. Sunday will begin with the U10 competitions before progressing through the U11 and U12 divisions and concluding with three U18 grand finals—including the George Gregan Cup at 3:05pm.
A broad representation of the ACTJRU community
The draw includes teams representing Daramalan, Easts Juniors, Gungahlin Eagles, Grammar, Junior Vikings, KWS, Marist, Queanbeyan Whites, Rosary, St Edmunds, Uni-Norths Owls and YOWLS – a combined Yass Rams/Uni-Norths Owls team. St Edmunds has the largest presence, with nine teams appearing across eight grand finals. This includes an all-St Edmunds contest between the Blue and White teams in the U12 Division 1 decider. Daramalan will have seven teams competing over the weekend, while Marist will be represented by six. The final two matches on Sunday will both feature Marist against Daramalan: Marist U16 Royal will meet Daramalan 2nd XV in U18 Division 2 before the two schools’ first XVs contest the George Gregan Cup. The U13 competition will again feature separate Navy and Gold finals, giving four teams the opportunity to finish their season with a grand final victory. Community clubs are also well represented. Junior Vikings will contest three grand finals, while Queanbeyan Whites will field teams in two U10 deciders. Gungahlin Eagles, Easts Juniors, Rosary and Uni-Norths Owls will each have an opportunity to claim a premiership.

Saturday’s program begins at 9:45am with the U13 Gold Grand Final and concludes with the U17 Girls and U16 Division 2 deciders at 1:45pm.
